Description:

Casting non-equity male identifying actors for the following roles in The Melon's Cry, an original play, to premier as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. About the project: Set in an NYC private school on the eve of 9/11, The Melon’s Cry is a retelling of the poem Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti. Two best friends cling to each other as they are sucked into the inexorable tragedy of sexual maturity and into the void of a post-ideological era. A fable of surrender—willing and unwilling. Rate: There is a stipend of $250. Additional info: Performances will take place in a former lecture hall. Rehearsals will be in Center City. Please apply if interested.
