About the play: "Toy Lover" explores inner queer, transmasculine desires, queer relationships and navigation of shame. TOY begins his medical transition with testosterone! BRAIN, massively against this intruder while, BODY, is arms open craving for the queen’s euphoric magical power! BUT. The Queen is not perfect; she is entangled by the transphobic systems that push Toy into its flawed belief; “to be trans is to suffer”. Will the Queen be able to escape the authorities that hold her by the wings? The same authorities that tell Toy, he must prove his transness? Is that even achievable? Rate: Unpaid. Additional information: This is a workshopping of a new works in development. Rehearsals in AUGUST. Performance/reading/potential filming END SEPTEMBER. This is a theatrical piece with some physical theatre elements open to all experiences and levels, directors will be having a potential shooting date in September to film some scenes of the play.
