Auditions for Voice Over Production "Cacophony Bay"

(Minimal singing, occasional rap): The cult's enigmatic leader; a captivating, extremely likable with a Eurasian/African accent and an untraceable past. She is harsh, petty, brilliant, short on patience, unable to control a single emotion, equal parts funny and violent.

(Primary singing role): Ossica's wife; a clever, confident, and empathetic woman, she puts others first until she realizes that it always leaves her last. She keeps her head calm in stressful situations, and meters her emotions out with care. She comes from a background that does not approve of her lifestyle, and we meet her at several stages through her life.

(Primary singing role) : A newer member escaping a brutally bad situation. Our audience-insert. Reserved, spent time in a psych ward, younger than Noel and Ossica. Had a life. The life fell apart in many ways. Has zero self-confidence now. Willing to lend a helping hand if it makes her feel whole again. Elizabeth is also keeping tabs on the cult from the inside and fears being discovered.

(Primary singing role): Genuinely trying to do right by the populace, takes cues from city counsel who happens to side with the "commune". Appalachian background but not much of an accent. Very suspicious over the cult, he has a person on the inside but wants to do everything he can to avoid the usual outcome of a "raid" (in the end, he fails).

(Secondary singing role): Early-twenties, a trans-woman. Tess was sewing her oats in NOLA until things started turning bleak. She is seeking something external to believe and invest in, as her family (aside from Noel, her sister) has entirely turned her away. She is a natural performer and night-owl who *can* be a mess but knows, accepts, and loves exactly who she is.

(Secondary singing role): Retirement age, nosey neighbor who wants the cult banished from this peninsula. Conspiracy-minded, we are never on his side until we're left with no moral alternative. Former army. Patricia (Secondary singing role): Also retirement age, nosy neighbor who placates her husband (Pat) but tries to keep him out of trouble, when it comes to the cult. Former nurse. Together, they are called "The Two Pats" (by just about everyone).

(Tertiary singing role): HOA leader, uninterested in The Two Pats' complains, trying to keep things peaceful with the cult as they have shown no ill-will toward the neighborhood. Older, authoritative, very much a John-Slattery type. One scene.

(No singing): A relatively-professional director who quits a film shoot mid-commercial due to Ossica ranting. Preferably a European accent. One scene.

(No singing)- A witty, charming young man who befriended Elizabeth in the psych ward, when they only had each other. Shown primarily through flashbacks.

(Tertiary singing): Deputy under Sheriff Tate. He echoes the idea of slow-walking the whole issue of the cult. Typically a pacifist.

(Tertiary singing): Deputy under Tate, the devil on his shoulder. Gus hates the cult and wants to accelerate the process, probably incel-ish. A jingoist through and through.

(No singing): The man who sold the cult the property years ago. Was told they'd be paying in cash, so he tries not to question much. One scene.

(No singing): Watches Tess perform every week during open-mic night. Not much of a fan! A French or Creole accent would be preferred. One scene.

Assorted cops, TV hosts, firefighters, FBI agents, Psych-ward attendees, HOA members, and cult members (some singing, some not): Wide range of ages, voices, accents, If you feel you could fill any of these roles *as well as* a main, that would be extra helpful.
