NUTV Short Film "JAMILA" Seeks Cast
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. NUTV is looking for actors to star in a short film titled "JAMILA", which will be shown at the NUTV Student Film Festival in the fall. About the project: Logline: “After a curious woman discovers an album filled with pictures of her deceased mother, she connects with her by exploring her identity.” Rate: The production is non-union with $100 per filming day (not including rehearsals). Additional information: Must be comfortable portraying Arab/Middle Eastern characters. Must be available August 4th-5th and weekends. She feels disconnected from her culture and wants to connect with it by finding information about her mother. She loves to explore and find vintage items, especially if it helps her feel closer to her culture.

She worries that Amina, her younger sister, is going to leave her behind in pursuit of finding information about their mother.
