Blythe, used to isolation, shifts her time for her new friend she meets, Agatha. Though as she gets to know her through their imaginative play, she realizes her friends dark family history may reveal the truth of their friendship. Rate: Volunteer. Food and credits provided. Non-union indie short film. Additional information: Based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Around 11 pages long. Shooting around August 19-24th 2026. Submission deadline: July 17th. Lead. European or African/Black ethnicities. Blythe is a passionate girl, in touch with nature and her textile abilities. She has dreams of living in the city, though is stuck at her home duties with her mom. She is a caregiver, finds glee and beauty in everything, though her isolation makes it difficult for her to speak up for herself.
Lead. European ethnicity. Agatha is a curious girl, as isolated in life as Blythe. Her family lives with a community, running things that would be illegal and viewed as sinister in a regular society. She is intrigued by Blythe and wants to include her in her community. Agatha is devoted, friendly, and offers a commanding presence.
Supporting (6 lines of dialogue). European or African/Black ethnicities. Stubborn, traditional, blunt, but also caring. She has a lot of responsibility on the farm and taking care of the kids while her husband works as a loyalist.
