Auditions for Musical "On the Town"
Singers needed for "On the Town" show. See the breakdown below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Rate: $1,320 weekly minimum (LORT B+, Non-Rep). About the project: Three sailors have 24 hours of shore leave in New York City. One falls instantly in love with "Miss Turnstiles" and spends the day searching for her, while his friends are swept into their own romantic misadventures across the city. Additional info: Equity actors only. Always bring your Equity Membership card. Schedule an appointment via email. Equity members without appointments seen as time permits. Prepare two brief contrasting musical theatre songs or a 1–2 minute monologue. Bring headshot, resume, and sheet music. Accompanist provided. Seeking principal actors, ensemble singers and dancers, and two off-stage swings (one male-presenting, one female-presenting). Strong partnering skills and tumbling encouraged. Male (Cis, Transgender, or Non-Binary), Baritone; Naive, eager, more interested in sightseeing than romance; keeps a guidebook and wants to report back to his father about everything he’s seen. Strong comedy skills; “dragged” into adventure and seduction by Hildy.
