Ideally: Hispanic male, heavyset build, preferably short-haired or balding, bearded. The band's bassist. A wretched, TV-addicted middle-aged man, sentenced by his own hand to play the fool in his own comedy of a life. Unwilling to take responsibility for his past mistakes, he blames external forces—including his brother's creative ambitions—for his alleged misfortune. Sarcastic; at times laconic, at others long-winded; a roller coaster of dark emotions.
Ideally: Hispanic male, lanky build, long hair preferred, mustache welcome. Guitarist. Enthusiastic to a fault. His Ahab-like obsession with the (unlikely) success of The Asses deafens him to his brother's silent cries for help. Hyperkinetic and joyful as a child, yet possessing the unreceptiveness and selfishness of one. Behind his easygoing nature lies a wall of toxic positivity. An imagined happy Sisyphus who, in his struggle against fate, eagerly lives only for himself.
