"Comfort" Short Film Looking for Cast

About the project: COMFORT is a psychological short film that explores heavy emotional themes within a grounded, character-driven story. The film focuses on realism, tension, and emotionally complex dynamics between its characters. Rate: Deferred pay. Additional info: Auditions will be held virtually via Google Meet. Selected actors will receive a scheduled time slot and script sides in advance. This is a non-union, independent NYC-based production. Filming will take place in New York City following casting. (Supporting lead). An emotionally layered role. The mother appears loving on the surface but carries deep internal conflict. Requires strong dramatic range and subtle emotional control.
(Supporting). A controlled, observant presence who drives the psychological tension of the film. This role requires strong dialogue delivery, emotional restraint, and the ability to maintain intensity through minimal physical expression.
(Supporting). A key family member within the story. Emotionally reactive and grounded in realism, with strong connection to the central conflict. Requires naturalistic performance.
(Principal lead/appears in memory sequences). A character shown through memory and flashbacks. Though limited in screen time, Milo carries emotional weight within the story and requires expressive, impactful performance.
