UNCLE FESTERBoth genders30-50 y.o.All ethnicities

Tenor/Baritone Vocals. Vocal Range; C3–G4 (opt. C5). Vaudeville-style Comedian, That one awkward family member who serves as the musical’s narrator. He’s larger than life, an energetic, joyous, child-like presence. Uncle Fester is incorrigible and, except for the good nature of the family and the ignorance of the police, would ordinarily be under lock and key. Fester has great comedic timing and a tenor voice. Ukulele skills a plus!

GRANDMAFemale18-96 y.o.All ethnicities

Stage Age: 102. Character vocals. Vocal Range: G4–F5. Comedic actress. She’s one feisty old woman. Gomez’s mother. No. Wait. Morticia’s Mother. Wait. Who IS she???? She has great comedic timing and physicality.

WEDNESDAY ADDAMSFemale18-22 y.o.All ethnicities

Pop Soprano/Mezzo vocals. Vocal Range; A3–E5 Adventurous daughter. Gothic big sister Wednesday is a girl who has the same dry wit and sensibility of her mother and her father’s heart. Finds love with a “normal” boy (Lucas) and wants to introduce his family to hers. She experiences the lovesick drama that comes with first love and when two very different families meet. She longs for the approval of her parents but isn't afraid to show her rebellious side. She has a strong belt.

LURCHMale25-50 y.o.All ethnicities

Groans (until he sings at the end of the show!). Vocal Range: Eb2–E4 Most Likely a Zombie Butler. The Addams butler who knows all, but says less. His unmistakable commanding presence is accented by grunts, moans and deliberate movement. Must have great non-verbal story-telling abilities (think: facial expressions and sound). Lurch has a rich bass voice.

MAL BEINEKEMale35-55 y.o.All ethnicities

High Baritone/Tenor Vocals. Vocal Range: C3–A4 Stuffy and uptight father of Lucas and exasperated husband to his rhyming Stepford wife, Alice. At one time was a follower of a grungy, dark band, but has lost that side of himself and has become a stereotypical businessman. Always looking out for his family’s future and how they might look to his colleagues and the rest of the world. He finds the Addams to be too bizarre for his liking and cannot fathom allowing his son to marry into that family..

ALICE BEINEKEFemale35-55 y.o.All ethnicities

Soprano vocals. Vocal Range: Ab3–G#5 Lucas’s mother and Mal’s wife, Her life is filled with love and strife. Alice Beineke is gentle, polite, and sweet, With nervous charm that’s hard to beat. A loving wife, devoted and true, With hidden emotions starting to brew. She speaks in rhymes with each line she delivers, In lyrical phrases and musical quivers. A quirky trait that brings delight, While hinting at feelings she keeps out of sight. It takes a comedic actress with timing and heart.

LUCAS BEINEKEMale18-22 y.o.All ethnicities

Tenor Vocals. Vocal Range: C3–C5. The hopeful romantic and son of Alice & Mal, Lucas fell in love with Wednesday Addams and plans to marry her. Wednesday absolutely intrigues him. Strong singer.
