Voice-over actors needed for "Orbiting Applause." See the breakdown below. NATIONWIDE CASTING! Additional info: All characters in the show are aliens — casting is based solely on voice fit, regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender. Pronouns are listed for each character, but actors are not required to share those pronouns. If cast, facial performance will be recorded alongside vocal performance as reference material for animators. Most characters will have singing parts. Doli is the center of the show. She is the co-owner of The Galaxy theater with her best friend Devynn. Doli is very sweet and very kind. The only thing she cares more about than theater is her theater family. She has a tendency however to ignore her own mental, and sometimes physical health for her theater. Working through the night and exhausting herself, forgetting sleep and sometimes even forgetting to eat. Mezzo-Soprano or Soprano
Devynn is the best friend anyone could ever ask for. She's compassionate , understanding, patient, and loyal. Not to mention wickedly funny, and super laid back. She's charming and her nonchalant attitude let's her get along with just about anybody. She is the co-owner of The Galaxy theater with her best friend Doli. Alto or Mezzo-Soprano
If you ever needed to describe to someone what a chill guy is, you'd describe Lee. Lee is an actor at The Galaxy and his only 'method' is winging it. He doesn't prep, he doesn't research, he barely memorizes lines. The king of improv and the master of, well nothing honestly. Lee is the best drinking buddy and a good actor but, he could be a great actor if he took it more seriously. Endlessly sarcastic while also being, maybe not too bright. Tenor or Alto
Avery Isles Jr. is the son of the famous Avery Isles Sr. his dad is the founder of the Isles Theater Corporation. The absolute arch enemy of The Galaxy theater. Since the passing of his mom Avery has only lived in his dad's shadow, until today. He strives to break free of the shackles of his father 'love' and out on his own. It just so happens the only way he can do that, is to take down The Galaxy theater.
Trudy is Avery Jr's right hand person. They are bright and colorful, resourceful and cunning. They are also kind, and romantic. While their specious is famous for being the 'Vulcans' of the Baxxon galaxy. That being that they express little to no emotion, Trudy is unique in that they feel very deeply. Whether they express those feelings is a different story. Alto or Mezzo-Soprano
Willie is the best friend of Rae. He is quiet and kind. He is softspoken and often doesn't speak much. He runs the spotlights at The Galaxy so he has a lot of alone time which leaves him often feeling left out. He is sweet and thoughtful and cares deeper than he leads on. Despite this he can be funny, and sarcastic, and even under very specific circumstances, a great dancer.
