This one is about grief. Marais Misery is an elevated psychological horror feature set along Minnesota’s North Shore of Lake Superior. The story follows a group of friends whose lives become entangled with a mysterious freshwater creature that appears to prey upon those carrying unresolved loss. Combining atmospheric horror, emotional realism, and Northern folklore, the film explores how grief can shape, haunt, and transform the people left behind.
