Acting Audition in "The Gambit" Series Season 1

About the project: “The Gambit” (season 1) is an 8-episode web-series (or 8 minute short film) that highlights a single chess match between Tony, a seasoned veteran to the game, and Brent, a new player that wants to play the game differently. They have conversations while playing about chess, but the conversation is really about business. Brent is young and hungry, wanting to explore creative and innovative ways to get things done, while Tony is old school and plays by the rules he learned years ago. This series will release weekly on social platforms and the completed short film will release on YouTube, LinkedIn, and website as one project. PLOT SUMMARY: Tony, a middle-aged man, is sitting at a table with a chessboard setup. Brent, in his early twenties, walks into the cafe/library/etc and takes a seat across from Tony. They play a game of chess while they talk about business, through the lens of chess. Tony is clearly a veteran that has been playing a long time, and knows his way around the board. Brent is new to the game, but has a creativity and strategy that Tony can’t read. Rate: Non-Union. $100 Honorarium + Food. Additional information: Location: Toronto, ON.
