About the project: A 1950s-set music video shooting at the Garneau Theatre in Edmonton. A date night at a vintage movie theatre goes sideways when someone hijacks the projector and plays something no one in this era was ever meant to see. Shot on 16mm black-and-white film. Rate: Paid. Additional information: Shoot date: Monday, June 22, 2026. Location: Edmonton, Alberta. Any acting or film experience (not required). Wardrobe and styling will be provided on set for all roles. Lead. A polished, elegant young woman. Think 1950s Hollywood glamour, like a young Marilyn Monroe. Prim and proper on the outside, with a rebellious edge underneath. Looking for someone who carries themselves with old-Hollywood grace. Wardrobe: Tailored 1950s dress, pearl necklace, white gloves, styled curls.
Lead. A classic 1950s greaser. Slicked-back hair, leather jacket, lots of attitude. Confident and charismatic, lives by his own rules. Looking for a young man with natural charm and a rebellious edge. Wardrobe: Worm leather jacket, white T-shirt, cuffed jeans, scuffed boots, chain wallet.
Supporting/Comedic. A sweet, proper older woman, the picture of 1950s respectability. When the film gets interrupted, she's so shocked her dentures fly out. Must have no natural teeth, or be comfortable wearing dentures on set.
