About the project: "The Little Miss Dee Story" tells the powerful story of Danny, known as Miss Dee, a little girl living in a challenging environment. The film chronicles one of the hardest years of school for Miss Dee. Miss Dee has to live through losses, feeling unwanted, being bullied, adulthood, all while being a good student. Miss Dee learns to voice her struggles and hopes with her writing, ultimately winning a citywide oratory contest that symbolizes her enduring spirit and refusal to be defined by her circumstances.
