Additional information: Audition Preparations: Directors ask that you come prepared with a musical theater song that showcases your voice and helps you tell a story. Please bring a copy of your song to be played on the Bluetooth speaker. An accompanist will NOT be provided. Show up between the above times. You will be asked to fill out some information before auditioning. Callbacks: Should you be contacted for a callback then you will be asked to sing a song related to the character directors wish to see you for. They will also be asking you to do a reading. The songs and sides will be sent to you in advance. You will participate in a movement/dance audition.

The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland, Claude loves his work, the townspeople and his daily traditions, but he’s never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude before. He is a very charismatic character.
A no-nonsense mother of three, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety – but in frustration, she often lashes out at those around her.
The head of the Gander Legion, with a firefighter son, who walks Hannah to her church and prays with her. She also interacts with many other characters (especially Ali) and has many heart to heart moments with them. She is the glue that holds the town together. Her sole mission is to make sure the “come from aways” are taken care of. She also works at Gander Academy.
The quirky constable in the two-person Gander police force. When the town’s population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways.
An eager new local TV reporter, Janice is thrown into the deep end on her first day. Initially naive about the world, Janice must face the pain and confusion around her. She questions her choice to work in the news but ends up growing stronger as the play progresses.

The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town’s generosity, Kevin creates the Pay It Forward Foundation.
