"The Lightening Thief: The Percy Jackson" Musical Seeks Talent

There are various ensemble roles throughout the show. Including STUDENTS, HALFBLOODS, STATUES, FURIES, ORACLE’S CHORUS, and many individual characters (such as THALIA or BIANCA). Ensemble are HEAVILY featured throughout the show.

Strong pop-rock tenor. Son of Poseidon; a good kid with thick skin, a joker exterior, and a sensitive heart. He has spent his entire life defending himself, but now must go on the offensive to save what matters most: his mother… and the world.

Strong pop-contemporary soprano, high belter. Daughter of Athena and smarter than you. She is overqualified, but often unseen. She joins Percy on his quest to prove to her mom she’s ready and is ready unapologetically in her brilliance.

Folk-pop tenor or alto. A happy go-lucky satyr, like a hippie kid with hooves. A soft spirit, intuitive and sensitive. Takes the responsibility of friendship very seriously. His empathy and humor disguise the fact that he is working through deep guilt and shame about his past.

Pop-rock, tenor. Son of Hermes; the coolest older camp counselor who welcomes Percy with open arms and offers guidance on his journey. Is a mentor and friend of Percy, Annabeth, and of all Camp Half-Blood. Can lead a mean campfire song.

Baritone. A wise centaur who disguises himself as a Latin teacher. Wants what’s best for Percy and tries his best to guide him but ultimately follows the rules.

Soulful mezzo-soprano. Artist and an aspiring writer who puts others before herself. Percy’s mother. She wants the best of her son, even if that means hiding things from him and making difficult choices. Has the gift to always say what someone needs to hear. Kind, loving, wise, and brave.

Bari-tenor, potentially a talk-singer. God of Wine & Theatre. Unluckily for him he was cursed to be a camp director and hates every second of it.

Pop-rock soprano with a high belt Daughter of Ares; A rebel jock and a bully but she is easily misunderstood. She’s dying to defeat a monster to impress her dad, so how come Percy can do that on his very first day?

Alto or soprano Daughter of Aphrodite; A camper with a big heart and even bigger heartbreak. She has problems, some of which are caused by her mother. Sweet and pretty, but do not underestimate her!

Folky pop alto or soprano. Daughter of Demeter; A true treehugger and very vocal about it, only slightly conceited.

Strong alto belt. The mummy in the attic of camp half-blood, who often gives unhelpful riddles of advice. She’s scary but boy can she sing!

Strong pop alto belt, groovy and soulful riffs. Ferryperson to the Underworld from the entrance in L.A- D.O.A Records. An old-soul, who just wants their demo to be heard and believes that disco is not dead.

An avid sculptor with a very big collection of life like statues and an even bigger grudge against a certain wise Goddess.

A Fury posing as a substitute algebra teacher.

God of the sea and Percy’s father. A surfer type in a Hawaiian shirt, very laid back.

Pop-rock bari-tenor. God of War: A biker in leather pants who loves a good fight.

God of the dead; an aging rock-star type. Indifferent and opportunistic
