HE/HIM. Strong vocal ability is essential and lead/rhythm guitar is the preferred instrument. Jack is a sensitive artist. He is impulsive, optimistic, kind-hearted and impossible not to root for. He genuinely loves his family, wants to do the right thing, and slowly grows from feckless boy into unlikely hero.
SHE/HER. Strong vocal ability is essential and any of the instruments listed above. Laurie is Jack’s younger sister. She is clever, fearless, and perpetually underestimated. Bursting with ideas and energy, she is constantly dismissed as “too young,” “too little,” or “in the way” — which only fuels her determination to prove everyone wrong.
Strong vocal ability. Any instrument from the list above. Fairy Canola is an ancient magical being who has been looking after the city of Edmonton for longer than anyone can remember. Endlessly well-meaning and inherently good. She is gentle, hopeful, and sees potential in people long before they see it in themselves.
Strong vocal ability and any instrument from the list above. A highly energetic ensemble track as one half of the comedy duo. Roles include a singing and dancing Canadian Goose and a spectacularly stupid Guard. This track requires a performer who is comfortable with improvisation and physical clowning.
Some vocal ability and highly skilled on drums. This performer will be the rhythmic backbone of the band and will play a variety of small cameo roles.
