Each character harbors distinct motives and dark secrets connected to a tragic past. Additional information: Performances September 30 - October 3, 2026. Auditions take place in Regina. The young, eager, and somewhat inexperienced owner of Monkswell Manor. She has recently converted her inherited home into a guesthouse and carries a hidden burden regarding a past tragedy.
Mollie’s husband of one year. He is initially skeptical, somewhat boorish, and highly judgmental of the guests, leading to tension when he clashes with men paying attention to his wife.
A hyperactive, neurotic, and eccentric young man who claims to be an architect. He is flighty, erratic, and immediately casts suspicion on himself.
A pompous, demanding, and unsympathetic older woman. As a former court magistrate, she is highly critical of the inn and its management, quickly making herself the most disliked person in the house.
A square-shouldered, polite, and jovial retired British military officer. He is an unassuming guest who generally serves to calm the tempers of the other residents.
An aloof, masculine-acting woman with an authoritative demeanor. She is notably secretive about her past and cryptically hints at a harsh childhood.
An unexpected guest who arrives after his car overturns in a snowdrift. He is a mysterious foreigner, suspected of wearing artificial makeup to appear older, and affects an enigmatic, dramatic accent.
The cheerful, commonplace police detective who arrives at the guest house on skis to investigate a local murder and warn the group. He acts as an investigator trying to connect the guests to past events.
