Harvard symbologist, he is the story’s reluctant hero. Tweedy and intellectual, he is pulled into the center of a vast web of conspiracy and murder and must use his formidable intellect – rather than his brawn – to solve the mystery.
A cryptologist with the French Judicial Police. Compassionate and intelligent, she was raised by her grandfather after her family died in a car accident.
An eccentric Englishman, knight, Royal Historian, and extremely wealthy man. He uses a walking stick and is obsessed with The Holy Grail and the Truth he believes lies within it. This obsession leads him to murder via his alter ego, the Teacher.
A monk of Opus Dei, and the murderer of Jacques Saunière. Silas is motivated by the rejection and horror he has faced since he was young. He is obsessed with self-punishment and is the pawn of the Teacher. NOTE: Role will be shirtless on stage. The role of Silas self-punishes during the play, including whipping himself with a knotted rope-tie.
The grandfather of Sophie and curator at the Louvre. His murder sets off the chain of events. His scholarly passions of Leonardo Da Vinci, goddess iconography, and puzzles are what guide Sophie and Langdon to solve the mystery.
Rémy is the house servant of Teabing. He is a mercenary who gets involved in the search for the Grail for the money.
The captain of the French Judicial Police. He is strong-willed and religious. He has great faith in the use of technology in his work. His policing methods are a bit unorthodox, but he is good at heart.
Sandrine is a nun and keeper of the Church of Saint-Sulpice. She offers shelter to Silas.
Collet is an agent with the French Judicial Police. She assists Fache in the investigation.
