"Nuts" Independent Short Film
We’re casting two lead actors for an independent short film shooting in the Niagara/GTA area. NUTS is a romantic drama short film about Lucien, a young painter, and Naomi, his girlfriend and muse.On the anniversary of a perfect summer love, a young painter turns his girlfriend into art. One year later, alone and changed, he must decide whether to preserve the memory that made him or destroy it to keep moving forward...

A young painter with a soft, romantic presence and a self-destructive edge. Lucien is deeply in love with Naomi, but he struggles with insecurity, weed dependency, and the pressure to turn his emotions into something useful. He is charming, sensitive, and emotionally aware, but often unable to stop himself from making the wrong choice. Looking for an actor who can play quiet intensity, awkward tenderness, restrained pain, and artistic obsession without overdoing it.
Naomi is a naive lover with a real light to her. She is in the moment, funny, affectionate, impulsive, and a joy to be around. She pulls Lucien out of his head without trying too hard. She carries much of the first act through her energy; filming everything, chasing whatever catches her eye, turning a normal day into something they’ll remember. Looking for someone with natural warmth, playfulness, and emotional openness.
