The night before her school’s biggest orchestra show, her father - a somewhat clumsy handyman - has gotten stuck on a job and forgets to pick her up. Stranded, she practices alone in the school's auditorium. What neither she nor her father knows is that Boss Sha, a ruthless crime lord, has dispatched a team of assassins after them. While Mei intensely practices in the empty school auditorium, Old Ken races to the venue to pick her up, only to be ambushed in the parking lot by one of the hitmen. This forces the handyman father to unleash the legendary assassin of his past that he tried to keep secret. Inside the school, a second assassin - the stylish, bubblegum-chewing Jade Kitty - zeroes in on Mei. Expecting an easy target, the killer is blindsided when Mei utilizes her cello bow like a sword and fights back with Kungfu. After a gruelling, chaotic clash through the school, Old Ken pulls off a last-second vehicular rescue, driving Mei to safety. But their lives are now changed forever, and Mei will have to learn the harsh truth of who her father really is. Rate: Non union. Unpaid. Require Mandarin fluency. The leader of the Black Peony Syndicate, a violent criminal enterprise controlling Chinatown. She’s cold and stylish, ruling her empire on fear, loyalty, and family. The secret of her husband’s affair threatens her grip on the empire, and she must bury it at all costs. Despite this, she does, in fact, care for her missing husband. Despite her calm exterior, she is always teetering on the edge of snapping.
Require Mandarin fluency. Boss Sha’s lieutenant and right-hand man. He’s a cold and stern man. His job is relaying her orders, helping run the enterprise, and keeping her under control - He secretly wants to take control of the gang.
Require Mandarin fluency and will involve stunt work. An older master assassin who knows of Old Ken’s reputation and the truth of his retirement.
She will involve stunt work. A stylish young female assassin who is hired by Victor to assassinate Mei.
Require Mandarin fluency, and some stunt action involve. A master assassin who retired to raise Mei - his adopted daughter and the daughter of his final targets. He has an almost mythical reputation within the criminal underworld. He appears to be a calm, gentle, somewhat distant father, working as a handyman doing odd jobs around the neighbourhood. He can be strict, but still has a soft spot for Mei.
Additional Character. An elderly woman who hired Old Ken to fix her sink.
A non-speaking role. The janitor at Mei's school.
