About the musical: Set in the moments surrounding Patsy Cline’s final concert, this heartfelt musical tribute that blends, biography, memory, and song to celebrate the legendary country star. They follow her rise from her small-town upbringing to international stardom while exploring her life and legacy with her timeless hits include “Crazy”, “I Fall to Pieces”, and “Walkin’ After Midnight”. Additional information: CONTRACT DATES: (subject to change) Rehearsals Start: Tuesday, June 15, 2027. Tech Starts: Saturday, July 3, 2027. Dress: Wednesday, July 7, 2027. First Preview: Thursday, July 8, 2027. Opening: Wednesday, July 14, 2027. Closing: Sunday, August 22, 2027. Potential holdover: September 5, 2027. Location: Vancouver BC. She/her. Mezzo-soprano range capable of singing country, pop, and blues styles. Patsy grows through her early 20s to age 30 throughout the show.
He/him. Strong Comedic skills and timing, experience in stand up is an asset.
A mid-age southern, warm, friendly, and funny small town disc jockey, does announcer gigs and comedy routines on the local scene as well. Also as Opry Comic: Old country humour. Also as Vegas Act: Henny Youngman style of lounge comedy. Also as Carnegie Hall Comic: Plays banjo or ukulele preferred.
One standby will be hired to cover Patsy Cline (she/her), and one standby will be hired to cover Actor 1 (he/him).
