About the project: In 2011, trans femme support group leaders Sloan and Astrid's relationship is challenged by fiery newcomer Leela, and impoverished Kat pins her hopes on the older Sunny's pledges that she'll leave her cis wife Fran. Tempers and intrigue fly, as the women struggle not to turn the stigmas society directs toward them onto one another or themselves. Rate: This a non-equity opportunity. Each actor will receive a $500 stipend. Additional info: Callbacks will occur either via zoom or in person and we will notify you if we need to do a callback by June 9th. Rehearsals begin September 8th. Rehearsals are weeknights from 6-10 pm and weekend days from noon to 4 pm. Friday is always a day off. Tech weekend is October 3rd & 4th with 10 am to 6 pm calls both days. Show runs October 9th – 25th with performances on Thursday Friday, and Saturday nights plus Sunday matinees. When applying, please include headshot, resume, and self-tape by June 6th. The self-tape should be less than 2 minutes and feature one to two prepared monologues from contemporary work. Make sure to note any conflicts you might have with the rehearsal period. If you have conflicts with performance dates you should not audition.
