Casting Call for a Paid Experimental Documentary
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking actors to portray roles for an experimental documentary. Please, see the details below. About the project: An experimental documentary exploring men’s views on power. This shoot will capture narrative sequences portraying daily life activities (e.g. breakfast, showering, etc.), as well as an audition scene. Rate: All roles: $75 (+ HST if applicable). Actor Man: $100 (+ HST if applicable - requires more time on set). Additional information: SHOOT DATES: July 25 & 26, 2026. Most roles require ~2 hours on set, plus a 1-hour pre-production meeting/rehearsal. LOCATIONS: July 25: University of Ottawa. July 26: Bank/Heron area July 25 roles - parking will be reimbursed APPLY BY JUNE 14th. Please, see the attachment. When applying, please submit your self-tape. In your slate, please include: Your full name Your height Role(s) you’re applying for Act out the scene specific to the role you’re applying for (see descriptions below). If applying for more than one role, act out one scene, then state “I will now apply for [INSERT ROLE]”, and begin the next scene. BIPOC. You’re a high-powered executive who flaunts power through your nonchalant body language. You’re looking for the next big heart-throb, but you want to make sure whoever you choose knows, without a doubt, that you’re the boss.
Caucasian but open. Body type: Lean fit to bulky/completely ripped. You are an actor who knows your worth and this role has your name all over it. You know you’re attractive. You know you’re talented. You know you’re going to be the next big heart-throb. You just have to convince the auditioner. This role entails wearing a speedo.
BIPOC but open. Body type: Any. You are the classic, accomplished, eligible bachelor – someone who rules the boardroom by day, and relaxes with a nice glass of expensive scotch by night. You give off an air of luxury and high class, even in your morning bathrobe.
