"Debate" - Pilot
Casting multiple roles for a pilot, where teams of 2 or more will be playing specific character roles to debate each other and argue their (assigned) case. We are looking for actors, sketch, theater, improv, or regular people who can convincingly play and stick to an interesting character role. Locals only to the greater Washington DC area (including Arlington, VA, Baltimore MD, etc). Pay will be either deferred and/or a daily stipend. Please apply for a character/role, and we will assign you a case, for you film and submit an argument (or opening statement) for, at least: 30 seconds, defending your character's stance for your first audition. If called back, we will have you argue/debate another character in a Zoom, before being selected and assigned the specific case/argument. Filming will be 1 day on 6/19, 6/20, or 6/21, and told once selected for a role (with details like location, etc.)

Age range: 28 - 38 Gender: Female Description: Pretty, intelligent, guarded, and emotionally resilient- although she is clearly carrying the weight of past trauma. Michelle is a dedicated gym-goer and overachiever who becomes easily unsettled. She is vulnerable, but strong. Must feel authentic, grounded, and relatable rather than melodramatic.
Age range: 50s Gender: Male Description: Owner of a small neighborhood gym, and #girldad. He is friendly, casual, and somewhat old-school in his thinking. John sees himself as approachable and community-oriented, but his poor judgment creates serious consequences. He genuinely does not believe that he has acted maliciously, yet slowly realizes the gravity of his actions. He is defensive but not villainous, someone whose carelessness stems from thoughtlessness rather than cruelty.
Age range: 50s - 60s Gender: Male Description: An older, kind of bumbley guy who can’t seem to give a straight answer. He doesn’t know, maybe? How could he recall correctly? Eventually he gets there, but he is easily distracted and confused, sometimes by his own thoughts- even contradicting himself at times before being reminded of what he previously said.
Age range: 20s-30s Description: Down on her luck, Debbie-Downer type, and long-winded. She has difficulty answering simple questions without oversharing, telling entire stories, or trying to commandeer the conversation back to her point of view.
Age range: 20s Gender: Female Description: Well-spoken and confident but sometimes attempts to use bigger words or legal jargon unnecessarily (henceforth, etc,.) to generally over inflate herself.
Age range: 20s Gender: Male Description: Relatable, thoughtful, clean cut, intelligent, well-spoken, and takes accountability. Naturally elicits empathy.
Age range: mid 20s - mid 30s Gender: Female Description: Self-assured, young, gorgeous, and ambitious doctor, socialite, and potential future influencer- (Bravo’s) real housewife material. Very feminine, fashionable, classy, and too smart for her own good that she gets into trouble for it. Holds herself to a higher level, but will stoop for gossip. Posts selfies, OOTD posts, and likes to work hard but also be seen on the scene. Queen Bee.
Age range: mid 20s - 30s Gender: Male Description: Young, sporty, smooth, romantic and loyal gentleman. Not afraid to speak his mind and doesn’t embarrass easily. Over the top to prove a point and that he can’t be intimidated.
Age range: 60+ Gender: Male Description: Single, older and trusting, retiree who has been done wrong. Must be able to elicit empathy.
Age range: 45+ Gender: Female Description: Willfully ignorant with victim mentality. Wavers in between angry and clueless, to offensively defensive and innocent. Points fingers at everyone but herself.
Age range: 45+ Gender: Male Description: A cunning, ruthless, and experienced businessman. Always looking for ways to save a buck, even if it’s not morally sound. Looks for babies to take candy away from.
