About the project: Khadija Brown, a 24-year-old struggling with addiction to Xanax and Adderall, is forced to navigate adulthood after being kicked out by her mother. Lost and emotionally unstable, she falls into a passionate relationship with Jade Rosmond, a fierce yet caring young woman who wants better for her. After things fall apart between them and Khadija is forced out of Jade's home, she moves in with her best friend, Zaya Brown. Though Khadija and Zaya share a deep emotional connection, neither fully acknowledges the feelings growing between them. As Khadija's mental health deteriorates and her addiction worsens, she searches for peace by turning to God. Torn between love, faith, and self-destruction, she spirals deeper into depression until it completely consumes her. In the end, Khadija reaches a tragic breaking point and decides to end her life.
