About the project: Late at night, after finishing work and heading home, a young comic book artist dreams of being attacked by a mysterious stranger. Shocked awake, she begins working on the ending of her comic as the publishing deadline rapidly approaches. Meanwhile, her friend and publisher, Rue, visits her room and starts organizing her belongings while she works. In the end, she finally completes the comic, only for it to be revealed that she is already dead, and that everything happening was simply her final wish. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer. Nevaeh is a warm and soft-spoken comic book artist in her early twenties. Though repeated failures to publish her comic and the struggles of an exhausting daily life have made her quieter and more reserved, she remains deeply passionate about the work she loves and refuses to give up on her dream.
Rue is Nevaeh’s closest friend and roommate who works at a publishing company, where she gives Nevaeh the opportunity to publish her comic. Unlike Nevaeh’s quiet and reserved nature, Rue is bright and outgoing, often bringing warmth to those around her. After losing someone close to her, however, she becomes calmer and more restrained, quietly carrying her grief instead of expressing it openly.
