About the project: Torn between staying in his hometown to protect his mother from another suicide attempt or leaving for his dream school, NYU, Elias is paralyzed by trauma. It takes a devastating public panic attack in front of his best friend, Daniel, to finally force Elias to confront his past and fight for his own future. Rate: Meals, copy, and credit provided. Additional info: Locations: Gainesville, FL & surrounding areas. Dates: June – Early July 2026. Submission deadline: June 8, 2026. No experience or resume needed. New actors, students, and first-timers are highly encouraged to submit. Fiercely loyal, grounded, and steady. He sees Elias’s immense potential and is frustrated watching him waste away in their hometown until he learns the brutal truth of why. The Hook: The ultimate anchor; a brother who shifts from a frustrated bystander to the emotional force pulling Elias out of the dark.
A survivor who has moved past her trauma. She has healed but hasn’t had the chance to show her son how much she’s changed until their intense confrontation at the end. Includes a brief, non-speaking flashback sequence. The Hook: A reformed, healed woman ready to prove to her son that he is finally free to live his own life.
