Description:

Casting female actors for "No Cash Value" film. See the breakdown below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: The film follows Jack, a young man returning to Orlando after living a year in New York. Restless, broke, and unable to accept the mundanity of daily life, he slowly drifts back into crime while slowly reconnecting with Charisse, who represents a sense of familiarity and a possibility of change. Rather than serving as a simple love interest, Charisse is following her own trajectory and ambitions. Frustrated with increasing costs and lack of opportunities, she's preparing to leave Orlando for school in Boston. Jack and Charisse's relationship unfolds naturally — built around timing and hesitation. Charisse is unwilling to put her future on hold while Jack struggles to find where his is. Rate: Paid. Minimum $200, with potential for additional pay depending on production scope and scheduling. Additional info: Location: Orlando. Anticipated shoot schedule: approximately 3–5 days total. Independent feature crime drama inspired by 1970s American Realism and French New Wave Cinema. Emphasizes naturalistic performances and collaborative scene building. The completed film is set for a screening in Paris regardless of festival placement. The role includes a kiss scene. No nudity or explicit sexual content. When applying, please send a self-tape in character as Charisse (options include a college scholarship interview, personal video diary, or your own interpretation of the character), along with your headshot, resume, and demo reel if available.
