About the project: SYNOPSIS: A group of background performers find connection, purpose, and unexpected meaning while navigating the chaos of an Alberta film set. From the sidelines, they begin to see themselves and each other-as more than just part of the background. A heartfelt Alberta-made comedy/drama about background performers finding connection, purpose, and unexpected meaning on a chaotic film set. Rate: Unpaid. Actors must be Union and able to work as a local. Background performers can be non-union. As this is an ultra low-budget production, travel and accommodation expenses will not be provided. All Participants will receive IMDb and resume credit, on-set meals, and production insurance coverage. Speaking roles will also be eligible for percentage-based ownership participation through the ACTRA MIP program. Additional information: Filming in the Diamond Valley area this August.
