She enters the Underworld believing she is stepping into love and independence, only to slowly realize the nightmare beneath the fantasy. The role requires strong emotional vulnerability and expressive nonverbal performance. PERFORMANCE NOTES: Naturalistic with strong emotional subtlety. Dance, movement, or theater experience is a plus.
(Lead) DESCRIPTION: Mother of the Earth and Goddess of Harvest, Demeter is nurturing, warm, and fiercely devoted to her daughter. Beneath her gentleness is immense emotional power and righteous fury. Her love for Persephone is all-consuming, becoming both her greatest strength and deepest vulnerability. PERFORMANCE NOTES: Seeking an actress capable of balancing maternal warmth with grief, desperation, and intensity.

Hades initially appears gentle and comforting, drawing Persephone into a dreamlike world with calm authority and subtle affection. As the illusion fades, his possessive and controlling nature begins to emerge. PERFORMANCE NOTES: Movement, dance, or theatrical performance experience is a plus. Strong nonverbal acting ability encouraged.
