Filming days: Aug 8 (Main shoot day), 3rd day TBD The Final Hand is an Afro-surreal psychological drama rooted in Black folklore and strategy. In a mysterious lounge that exists somewhere between memory and myth, a charismatic gambler known as High John faces a stranger whose desire to possess what was never his may cost him more than a game. Drawing inspiration from the legend of High John the Conqueror, the film explores identity, envy, ancestry, and the unseen rules that govern what can and cannot be taken. Location: Denton, TX (DFW Area) - talent/crew must be able to self-report. 1-2 day shoot (3 if needed), Single location.
