Singing Audition for "Rock of Ages" Musical
Equity actors sought for 2027 season show "Rock of Ages". Additional information is included below for your reference. Rate: LOA $890 weekly minimum (Ref. to LORT) - 2025-26 rate Additional info: Audition day lunch 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM. PREPARATION: Please prepare two contrasting selections, bringing sheet music in the appropriate key; an accompanist will be provided. No acapella singing or singing to playback. If not singing: 2 contrasting 1-minute monologues OR one 2-minute monologue. All actors please bring a copy of your headshot and resume. EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. Classic stoner type guy who runs the famous Bourbon Room club. Torn about whether he should sell the club to Hertz, a German businessman. Very strong comedic timing. A laidback, easy-going, real dude. Bari-tenor rock vocals. (Vocal Range: D3-G4)
Sexy rock star. Decided to leave his successful hair/metal-rock band to try it solo. Self-important, confident intriguing in all the wrong ways, the ultimate bad boy; he is all about sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. Great strong comedic timing and strong rock tenor voice. (Vocal Range: C3-Eb5)
Hertz’s son, young German male. Works for his father but not by choice. Pressured and intimidated by his father. Shy and gentle with a big heart. Strong vocals and comedic timing. (Vocal Range: Db3-E5)
