About the project: When an average family is brought to its knees after a young girl's dad is possessed, Father Max steps in to do his job, using the secret technique of a long-lost order of the Roman Catholic Church — the Exor-Fist. Exor-Fist is an action-horror film with a sprinkling of dark comedy, following the exploits of Father Max, a priest who, quite frankly, has no business being a priest. Despite his love for communion wine, his attempts to win over the affection of nuns, and his inclination to use violence first, forgive second, Father Max remains one of the most useful assets of the church as one of the last, and best Exor-Fists. Using gadgets akin to what you find in a Catholic Bat Cave, and a mix of martial arts learned from years of careful training, Father Max disposes of the world's demonic evils through some good old-fashioned fist fighting. Rate: Non-paid. Crafty and meals provided. Additional info: Non-union. Student production. Shoot dates: June 27th and 28th. Shoot location: Vancouver. Submission deadline: Saturday, May 23, 2026. This production is primarily a proof of concept for a longer feature. Participation may lead to further collaboration on the possible expanded short film or feature versions of the script. Father Max and Aaron (the possessed man) will have multiple stunts — actors with previous stunt or martial arts experience are strongly encouraged. LEAD What do you get when you cross a priest with Batman? An emotionally unavailable, demon-fighting, slightly alcoholic exorcist. Father Max is a highly skilled fighter with a wealth of unresolved trauma stemming from his childhood, his usefulness to the Church serves as a convenient excuse to avoid confronting his own demons. Will have many stunts. Additionally will need to be available for multiple stunt rehearsals prior to shooting dates.
LEAD An ordinary man consumed by demonic forces after making a deal with shadowy powers, hoping to secure a better life for his family. His body now puppeted by a creature straight from Hell, he exists only to sow sorrow and despair in the hearts of others, serving his dark lord's agenda with gleeful malice. Will have many stunts. Actors with stunt or martial arts training or experience are encouraged. Additionally will need to be available for multiple stunt rehearsals prior to shooting dates.
Supporting The wife of the film's antagonist. A devout and faithful woman whose worst fears are made flesh by the possession of her husband. Drowning in fear and sorrow, she is brought to her knees by the demonic force terrorizing her home, her faith the only thing she has left to hold onto.
