About the project: Based on the iconic hit film, 9 to 5: The Musical is a high-energy comedy with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. Set in the late 1970s, the story follows three very different women — Violet, Doralee, and Judy — who are pushed to their limits by their egotistical, sexist, and manipulative boss, Franklin Hart Jr. After an outrageous fantasy of revenge brings them together, the trio hatches a bold plan to take control of the office and transform their toxic workplace into one built on fairness, inclusivity, and respect. Packed with humor, heart, and catchy songs, 9 to 5 is a fast-paced celebration of friendship, empowerment, and standing up for what's right.
