About the project: The premier staged reading of Strung Up: A New Puppet Musical. The full 2 acts will be read and sung accompanied by a live band and some costume. Rate: Volunteer project with the potential for an honorarium after the last performance on August 28th. Additional info: Performance dates: August 27–28 Performance location: Performance Works, Granville Island, Vancouver Submission deadline: Sunday, May 31, 2026 Callbacks: June 6, 1–4 PM at KW Studios Atrium Non-union. Auditioning for three characters only at this time. When applying, please send a link to a public or unlisted YouTube video or an attached file with the following: 30–60 seconds of a song that showcases your vocal range, ability, and eccentric artistry. 30–60 seconds of a monologue, preferably done through puppetry if auditioning for Maverick or Azeroth. Bari-Tenor vocal range - a demonic duck who wants to rule the world, tired of subservient shackles and will do anything to be free. This character is a puppet.
Baritone vocal range - a snake and speaks like one. The all powerful ruler in Maverick’s sector of hell. This character is a puppet.
Baritone vocal range - a long time clown who wants a simple life, bad things happened to him on the Appalachian trail, a father figure to Danny the Clown.
