Female Actress for "The Crucible" Play

About the project: A primary goal for this staging is to move Tituba beyond the "voodoo priestess" trope. Committed to reclaiming her as a complex, agentic figure, examining how race functioned in 1692 Salem versus how it resonates today. To support this, directors are working with a Black dramaturg to orient the entire cast to this vision and ensure the characters' cultural milieus are handled with depth and care. Rate: $350 (negotiable). Additional info: Rehearsals: Start June 1. 4 weeknights (6-10 pm) when called. No weekends. July 13-16. No conflicts allowed.
