Performers Needed for Theatre Audition "On Guard for Thee"
Theatre is seeking actors for production of “On Guard for Thee”. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please find more information below. About the project: “On Guard for Thee”, an original script exploring darker themes through fantastical and comedic storytelling. Synopsis: Canada has been overthrown by political extremists. The government has fallen, access to resources are scarce. Somewhere in the chaos, four people meet. A white supremacist, a woman fighting for indigenous voices and their land, a conflicted man with control over the supply chain making bad decisions, and a young first-generation girl—the future of the country—have been handed roles in apocalypse nobody prepared them for. When fear becomes the most contagious thing around, they wonder what happens when it’s all gone. A darkly comedic fantasy about how we love and struggle on the land we call home, wondering what we owe it in the end. Rate: Please note this will be a profit share production, meaning any revenue made from sales will be divided evenly between all team members. Additional info: Note, all auditions will be done through self-tape submissions (no callbacks). A two week intensive rehearsal block will begin on August 20, leading into performances September 3–13th. If you are interested, please apply by May 25th @ 5:00pm EST.
