At the height of the Great Depression, aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer comes to the big city from Allentown PA, and soon lands her first big job in the ensemble of a glitzy new Broadway show. FEMALE-PRESENTING Along with Bert Barry, a comedic duo that is the songwriting team within the show. Knows her way around show-biz. Must move well and be able to play comedy with warmth and charm. Character Alto.
(BARITONE) MALE-PRESENTING. Along with Maggie Jones, a comedic duo that is the songwriting team within the show. Must sing and move well, and be able to play comedy with vaudeville timing. Must move well. Character baritone.
MALE-PRESENTING. Dorothy Brock’s “sugar daddy” from Oklahoma, a bit of a bully. Must be comfortable as a mover. Ability to sing an asset, but not necessary.
MALE-PRESENTING. A vaudeville performer down on his luck, Dorothy Brock’s true love. Must be comfortable as a mover.
FEMALE-PRESENTING. Knows the ropes of showbiz and is no fool. Must have a strong belt and strong tap ability is required.
