Theater Casting Call for "Vipers in the Garden" Show
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. "Vipers in the Garden", the premiere of an original play is currently in need of performers. Please, see the details below. Rate: Positions are non-union and non-paying. However, directors will make compensation available on a profit-sharing basis. Additional information: It is an all-new telling of Medusa's story in the times. Rehearsals in downtown Toronto will begin June 17 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. There will be some flexibility regarding days and times. In-theatre dates at the Red Sandcastle are August 30 to Sept. 13. Callbacks, if necessary May 27. Actors should prepare a contemporary monologue of up to 2 minutes in length. Actors may also be asked to cold-read a provided scene from the script with another actor. When applying, please submit resume and head shot by May 17 with CHARACTER NAME in the subject line. Those selected for audition will be contacted no later than May 18.

Maeve's twin sisters. Should be 5'8" tall at most. An accomplished sculptor; forceful and direct, like her work; passionately protective of Maeve.
A sensitive, perceptive painter; no less protective of Maeve than Saidie is, but has a gentler, less hard-edged approach Maeve's twin sons. Should be at least 6' in height. Both are devoted to their mother and extended family, and are extremely conflicted when new information about their parentage comes to light.
A successful, socially-conscious author; kind and thoughtful, he assesses situations before reacting.
A pilot for wealthy global benefactors; capable and outgoing, but more impulsive and emotional in personal situations than his twin, and doesn't hide it.
Wife of a powerful Hollywood agent; her elegance and bearing are undiminished; condescending, with an enormous sense of self-importance; light Parisian accent (character appears in only one major scene which sparks the play's climax, so rehearsals will be fewer).
