Casting Equity actors for 2027 show "The Book Club Play". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see breakdown below. Rate: LORT Non-Rep/URTA $1114 weekly minimum (LORT C) - Syracuse Stage $1152 weekly minimum (Tier IV - URTA) - Syracuse University Additional info: Some roles will be understudied. PREPARATION: Please prepare one 1-to-2 minute contemporary monologue OR if singing, a one 1-minute contemporary monologue and a maximum 32-bars of a song (bring sheet music). Please bring a headshot with resume attached by staples. An accompanist will be provided. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. ANA’s friend. Pretty. Shy. Smart. Tends to burst out with awkward truthful comments. Despite some lack of self-confidence, she is the grounding center of the group. Unorganized and oblivious to her own attractiveness. Unmarried.
A go-getter. Former debate captain who is on the cusp of all current trends and yet can still put her foot in her mouth at social occasions. Laughs at appropriate and inappropriate times. A great lover of books and ANA’s protégé at the paper.
The new guy. A very smart, well-read academic who has lost his moorings and is searching for real connections. Professor of comparative literature.
