About the project: Grace, a revert to Islam, is praying at the Masjid for the first time. She has arranged to meet her friend Nour at a local Masjid, but when her friend is delayed, Grace must go on alone. Rate: Non union. Paid (honorarium). A revert earnest in her desire to become a better Muslim, Grace has been following a prayer video alone at home for the past 2 weeks and is nervous about praying in the mosque with other women for the first time. She is counting on her support from her friend Nour (one rehearsal day/1-2 shoot days); This role requires strong physical comedy instincts & Ability to perform precise physical beats; MUST be comfortable with minimal dialogue/silent storytelling;
Arab. Nour is a stylish hijabi who was raised Muslim. It’s her first time knowing a revert and she is enjoys supporting her friend’s journey (one scene/ voice over).
