About the project: When Ed, a struggling writer, fails to write his first novel, he enlists the help of his distant cousin, Rodney, who’s a ghost. However, throughout the writing process, tensions rise as Ed constantly tries to take control of Rodney’s story while also hiding the secret that he resents him for having a relationship with his father. Male identifying. Ed is a paranoid writer, the kind who never gets an idea off the ground because he’s convinced it isn’t as well developed as it could be. He also has a habit of trying to gain control of everything because, in his mind, it’s his only chance of maintaining relevance in his work.
Male identifying. Even in death, Rodney acts as though he has no responsibilities or ambitions, but seeing as he is dead, there’s hardly anything to strive towards besides haunting someone. Charismatic yet cocky, Rodney would drive a car into a swimming pool if it meant that he’d get a good story out of it.
