Singing Audition for "Shrek" Play
Performers wanted for "Shrek the Musical" show. See the breakdown below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: Location: BDACT Fine Arts Center Performance dates: July 30 – August 9, 2026 Open to anyone ages 10 and above. Multi-generational family groups are encouraged to audition, provided the youngest member is a minimum of 10 years old. Audition dates: Sunday, May 17, 2:00–5:00 PM — Monologue and song only Sunday, May 17, 6:00–9:00 PM — Monologue, song, and dance Monday, May 18, 6:00–9:00 PM — Monologue, song, and dance Auditioners should prepare a monologue of no more than 2 minutes and a song (a verse and a chorus is sufficient). Those interested in dancing roles should attend a Sunday or Monday evening session. Simple dance steps will be taught and performed in groups. Rehearsal days and times: Sunday–Thursday, 6:00–9:00 PM, June 1–July 28. Not everyone will be required to attend every rehearsal. Required attendance: Final 2 weeks of rehearsals, July 20–28.
