Male Actors Needed for a Short Film "Spin"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting male actors for a short film "Spin". See the details below. About the project: A gritty, dialogue-driven two-hander set in a single location, focusing heavily on performance, tension, and presence. In a quiet late night laundromat, a calm stranger strikes up an awkward conversation with a guarded father waiting on his laundry. What begins as small talk slowly tightens into something far more unsettling. When the man insists the father send his young son out, the tension becomes undeniable. This is no coincidence. As the machines churn in the background, the stranger drifts into a chilling reflection on the illusion of washing things clean. Dirt, sweat, even blood can be spun away as if they never existed. But some things don't come out. As the truth surfaces, the balance of power shifts. The man who first seems intrusive and arrogant reveals a deeper purpose, and the encounter becomes a quiet reckoning. In a matter of seconds, the past catches up. Left behind is only the hum of the machines and a single coin, a bitter reminder that no matter how many times you try to wash it away, some stains never leave. Rate: Non-union/Independent. Additional information: Location: Edmonton, AB. Shoot: 1–2 days. Looking for strong, grounded performances that can carry tension in a minimal setting. Deadline: May 15th. When applying, please submit head shot, demo reel (if available), and a resume.
