About the project: After quitting his job and walking into the Georgia woods to fast for 40 days, a desperate young man seeking direction from God is forced to confront whether his sacrifice is faith, pride, or self-destruction. Rate: Paid. Will discuss pay with the right talent. Additional info: Shoot dates: will work around talents availability. Shooting location: Jasper, GA. Production will involve primitive camping and outdoor filming conditions. Hot showers are available, but overnight lodging for the lead will be tent camping. The lead actor will need to provide their own sleeping bag. Travel is not provided unless otherwise discussed. Lead role Must be available May 11th through May 17th Elias is the emotional center of the film. He is intense, exhausted, spiritually hungry, stubborn, and deeply human. He is not a polished hero. He is a man who has stripped his life down to nothing because he believes there is no other way forward. The actor cast as Elias must be comfortable with primitive camping conditions for the duration of production.
Supporting role Day player Elias’s brother arrives near the end of the film and brings the emotional truth of the story into focus. He is grounded, direct, loving, and tired of watching Elias destroy himself in the name of purpose. This role requires emotional maturity and the ability to deliver a grounded, deeply personal conversation without melodrama.
Supporting role Day player The Pastor is a steady, compassionate presence who challenges Elias without condemning him. He represents wisdom, concern, and spiritual clarity, but he is not preachy or overly polished. This role requires warmth, restraint, and the ability to speak truth in a way that feels lived in.
Supporting role Day player A mysterious, weathered man Elias encounters during his time in the woods. He should feel grounded, observant, and slightly unsettling without becoming cartoonish. This role requires presence, subtlety, and the ability to make very little dialogue feel heavy.
