About the project: "Method of Madness" is written to explore the pressure within the acting world to perform masculinity in extreme ways. The story critiques the idea that vulnerability in men must be expressed through aggression or intensity rather than emotional honesty. Through Jeremy’s descent into method acting, the film asks an important question: when does dedication to art become destructive to the people around us? SYNOPSIS: Jeremy Leonard and his wife Naomi are ecstatic when he books his breakout role in a feature playing a deranged serial killer. The two hoping the film will bring them closer to their dream of a family. However, Jeremy immerses himself in the role, and dedication turns into obsession as he chooses to go method. As his erratic and violent behavior towards his wife increases so does the critical acclaim of his film. Leaving Naomi stuck between two versions of her husband. The instant global sensation, the killer that made him famous. Rate: Non union. Please note that this set will be unpaid however, crafty will be on set. You are still expected to bring your own lunch as crafty is not substitute for a meal. Additional information: Will be filming on MAY 20.
