About the project: A gifted young singer escapes his abusive father and moves to Toronto to find his aunt and pursue stardom, but as crime, violence, and debt close in, he must risk everything and use his voice to survive before the streets take his future. She is Jauvan's mother, stuck in an abusive relationship, she encourages her son to leave Jamaica and go to Toronto.
He is a hot-headed street enforcer and sound engineer who lives for the moment and loves his weed. Creative, and imaginative, his character is like his name, unpredictable and dangerous.
Is a retired Dancehall queen with no filter. Although Maxine is an over-the-top drama queen, she has a heart of gold and wants what is best for her nephew.
