Scott Fitzgerald‘s beloved classic comes to life as a radio broadcast in this spirited adaptation of The Great Gatsby. An ensemble brings more than two dozen characters from the novel to life. The story of triumph and tragedy reflects the dizzying decadence of the Jazz Age and the perils of affluence, desire and the American Dream. Additional info: The character breakdown in the script calls for six actors (four men, two women), but the number of actors and breakdown should be tailored to best utilize those auditioning. Auditions begin promptly; late arrivals will be seen at the discretion of the director. Readings from the text will occur. Sides will be provided. Those auditioning should be prepared to sing a verse from the 1920s songs "What'll I Do?" and "Ain't We Got Fun." Rehearsals will occur in September and October with some possibly in the spring. Performance dates: October 23rd through the 25th, 2026. Performance times are Friday at 7:00, Saturdays at 2:00 and 7:00 and Sundays at 2:00. If you are interested, please apply.
