(LEAD) A vibrant young woman with a feisty streak. She loves to perform and share her art with the world but is struggling with the dissatisfaction she feels with the music she’s being forced to produce. Although she’s confident, she needs extra push from someone to help her truly break free. Her biggest challenge in the film is coming to terms with the fact that she does need to advocate for herself if she wants more.
(SUPPORTING) A hard-working, yet insecure woman who has worked for Nova Records for multiple years. She’s served as the loyal assistant to the Nova Records CEO, Nova. She's maternal, soft-spoken with a Spanish accent, and always does the right thing. Her biggest challenge in the film is learning that sometimes doing the right thing means going against the system. Requirements: Must be of Caribbean or Hispanic descent, able to speak Spanish and English with a Spanish accent.
(ANTAGONIST) The overbearing and campily antagonistic owner of their eponymous record label. They always speak to Estrella in a condescending manner and are quick to be emotionally manipulative. Nova is over the top and extra, always commanding the space of any room they enter. Requirements: Must be older OR be able to put on an older sounding voice. Nonbinary or trans actor preferred.
